Watch Confidence Grow
Sessions focus on deep understanding and building skills for life.
I tutor elementary through college students in Math (Pre-Algebra through Calculus), Science (Biology, Chemistry), English (all levels), standardized tests (SAT, ISEE), and college admissions essays. All subjects are available at standard, honors, and AP levels.
All tutoring sessions are held online via Zoom. Remote sessions allow for greater scheduling flexibility and make it possible to work with students nationwide. Sessions are 60 minutes long. I use a virtual whiteboard to write and work through problems in real time, creating an experience similar to sitting side by side with the student.
Sessions usually begin with a brief overview of the material the student is covering that week. We then work through class assignments, homework, or upcoming assessments. Students are encouraged to attempt problems independently while I provide guidance, clarification, and strategy support. Each student receives a personalized, color-coded Microsoft OneNote notebook where all session notes, explanations, and examples are saved. This notebook serves as an ongoing reference and study resource.
Most tutors help with tonight’s homework and move on. I start every topic with a foundational overview to fill gaps and build understanding from the ground up. Every student gets a personalized, color-coded online notebook they can review anytime. Between sessions, I send custom worksheets, practice tests, and curated YouTube videos, and students can text me questions for free. Beyond content, I teach metacognitive strategies so students understand how they learn best. The goal isn’t dependence on tutoring. It’s building confident, independent learners.
The current rate is $100 per hour. Sessions are billed monthly based on the number of sessions completed. There is no minimum number of sessions required per month, and I do not offer packages or require long-term commitments.
Because you’re not paying for one hour. You’re getting personalized materials, unlimited text support between sessions, a growing online notebook, and teaching methods backed by learning science. Most importantly, I focus on building independence so your child needs less help over time, not more.
I offer both weekly and as-needed tutoring sessions. Weekly sessions are strongly recommended, as consistent support helps students stay on track in fast-paced classes and reduces last-minute cramming before exams. Weekly session times are reserved for the student for the duration of the school year. As-needed sessions are also available, though advanced notice is encouraged as my schedule can fill quickly.
Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours notice are subject to a 50% cancellation fee. Sessions canceled with more than 24 hours notice are not charged. Cancellations should be made by text as early as possible. If a student arrives late, the session will still end at the scheduled time. If I arrive late, additional time will be added to the session.
Invoices are emailed at the end of each month for the previous month’s sessions and are processed securely through Stripe. Payments may be made by credit card (3% transaction fee) or by bank transfer (1% transaction fee).
Yes. Parents first schedule a brief 15-minute phone consultation to discuss the student’s needs and goals. The first tutoring session is charged at the standard rate and includes an initial assessment of the student’s current understanding and academic strengths. If both parties decide to continue, I will send an onboarding form and set the family up in TutorBird. From there, scheduling, reminders, and monthly invoices are fully automated.
Yes. I offer small group sessions for students in the same class or preparing for the same exam. Pricing is:
- $100 per hour for one student
- $70 per student per hour for two students
- $50 per student per hour for three or more students
Group sessions work best when students are aligned in material so we can stay focused and move efficiently.
